Pesticide Use in California Increases after Four-Year Decline

Pyrethrins/Pyrethroid Cumulative Risk Assessment Confirms Safety of Current Uses
EPA recently completed a cumulative risk assessment, which found that exposures from the many current uses of pyrethrins and pyrethroid insecticides do not pose risk concerns for children or adults. EPA is issuing this final pyrethrins/pyrethroid cumulative risk assessment and is requesting comments and information that may be used to further refine the assessment. (11/2011)

Washington Children’s Safe Products Act
The Washington Children’s Safe Products Act requires manufacturers to report the presence of Chemicals of High Concern to Children (CHCC) in children’s products. Companies that manufacture products that are sold in Washington are advised to begin reviewing their product lines immediately.
