Regulatory Support: Data Generation

In order to distribute or sell a chemical product in Canada, a registrant must generate scientific data pertaining to the identity, composition, potential adverse effects and environmental fate of the product.

This data is used to assess potential human health and environmental effects associated with use of the product. Companies are required to generate and submit their own data, cite existing data or submit a data waiver.
